1970s Universal Genève White Shadow
The White Shadow demonstrates another side of the Universal Geneve brand, a dressier version constituted by the clever employment of thin stainless steel case designed by the legendary Gerald Genta. Adding a twist to the general round cases design, this model comes in a barrel shape, a look that saw a resurgence in the 1960s and '70s. The black printed Roman numerals are set against a white, semi-glossy dial with a svelte black handset.
The watch is in overall excellent condition. The caseback retains its original finish and the case and reference numbers are still visible. The dial and hands are in great condition. Overall, the dial is clean with a few minor imperfections.
The dial, case, crown, crystal and movement are signed by UG.
