Universal Geneve Compax “Eric Clapton” with box and original GF signed bracelet
The Tri-Compax features three complications; triple-calendar, moon phase and chronograph. The 37mm case, which features twisted lugs, is in great condition. Also fitted to the watch is the very rare stainless steel, Gay & Frerès bracelet in excellent condition. The panda dial is in a lovely condition.
The ref. 881101 is a favorite of collectors thanks to details like its twisted-lug case, the black tachymeter bezel, and the panda dial with red date/month wheel. It's a very sporty watch, despite being so complicated, and it looks every bit the part of the 1960s classic. Luckily Clapton's good taste wasn't confined to just Patek Philippe and Rolex.
